HOW TO HIRE

Your TENS hire is for 6 or 8 weeks. We recommend that you hire your device when you will be roughly 36 weeks - to allow plenty of time for bubs arrival.

The date you select on the calendar will be the date your TENS is dispatched.

If the date you are trying to select is not working, we do not have the availability on this day.

RETURNING YOUR TENS

You will receive an email reminder when your device is due back, so you don’t forget!

Once you have finished with your TENS, place contents into the prepaid return satchel. Feel free to dispose of used electrodes.

Drop it off at your nearest Australia Post outlet and keep your lodgement receipt in case of any return issues.

You may be able to fully claim back the price of your TENS hire and/or purchase.

This will be dependant on your level of cover and who your health care insurer is (and yes, we are a recognised BUPA provider).

Do your homework with your insurer so you are aware of what rebate you may be entitled to and what their requirements for a smooth claims process are.

Machine okay but poor service

Unfortunately the service i received was really poor.
After emailing Mamaandico about where my machine was (3 days later then requested at this point) they replied a day later asking if I had it yet and that my machine is hired out and hopefully it arrives. I wrote back and asked if there’s something else they can do as I was very close to my due date. No reply so I emailed again few days later and still no reply. It arrived 10 days late! Luckily I was 12 days late having my baby and didn’t go into labour before I got it so make sure you have a lot of time prior as the postage sucks. You would think they would do express postage being the importance of it.
I understand it’s up to the courier they use and once sent that’s it but there was no help whatsoever on their end, I had to contact Aus post and tell them the situation and ask for urgent delivery.
Machine in the end is good… I only used for the start not while in active labour as I was in the shower and bath but it was okay for small contractions.

MAKES LABOUR BEARABLE!

The title doesn’t seem ground breaking but as someone who is very intolerant to pain - this made labour bearable! I had a 36 hour naturally induced labour, with baby facing posterior, which eventually resulted in having syntocinon and finally in a c section, however my tens machine was with me for the entire ride! The tens machine doesn’t remove the pain entirely but takes the punch well and truly away. This machine mixed with hypnobirthing techniques really changed the game for me and helped me through my naturally progressing and the medication free portion of my labour. I recommend it to all my to be mumma friends!

Great Service but TENS not for me

Service from Mama & Ico was great. Received everything in excellent condition and quickly. Process to return was easy to follow as well. Unfortunately with my labour the TENS was little to no relief but doesn’t mean it isn’t worth trying

Great for early labour!

Highly recommend!

A friend who is also a midwife recommended the tens machine to me and I couldn’t thank her enough. The tens machine really did help me push through the contractions, being a great distraction. Was also the only method of pain relief during my labour.
Mama and I co were so easy to order through. No issues at all and at a great price.
Do yourself a favour and hire the tens, will be peace of mind knowing the option is available to you if needed.
