Unfortunately the service i received was really poor.
After emailing Mamaandico about where my machine was (3 days later then requested at this point) they replied a day later asking if I had it yet and that my machine is hired out and hopefully it arrives. I wrote back and asked if there’s something else they can do as I was very close to my due date. No reply so I emailed again few days later and still no reply. It arrived 10 days late! Luckily I was 12 days late having my baby and didn’t go into labour before I got it so make sure you have a lot of time prior as the postage sucks. You would think they would do express postage being the importance of it.
I understand it’s up to the courier they use and once sent that’s it but there was no help whatsoever on their end, I had to contact Aus post and tell them the situation and ask for urgent delivery.
Machine in the end is good… I only used for the start not while in active labour as I was in the shower and bath but it was okay for small contractions.
Tens arrived on time. Prepaid envelope made returning it easy.
I've used tens for birth of both my kids. Can't recommend it highly enough! Allowed me to have two very low intervention births (including avoiding epidural).
The hire process was super easy, it arrived the date I had ordered it and the return process was easy to follow. Highly recommend having a TENS machine for labour as it helped me immensely, and the boost button on it was a great distraction from the peak of contractions. Will definitely hire for my next pregnancy!
The title doesn’t seem ground breaking but as someone who is very intolerant to pain - this made labour bearable! I had a 36 hour naturally induced labour, with baby facing posterior, which eventually resulted in having syntocinon and finally in a c section, however my tens machine was with me for the entire ride! The tens machine doesn’t remove the pain entirely but takes the punch well and truly away. This machine mixed with hypnobirthing techniques really changed the game for me and helped me through my naturally progressing and the medication free portion of my labour. I recommend it to all my to be mumma friends!
Service from Mama & Ico was great. Received everything in excellent condition and quickly. Process to return was easy to follow as well. Unfortunately with my labour the TENS was little to no relief but doesn’t mean it isn’t worth trying
The hire process was so straightforward & efficient. I received the machine on time (& sufficent time pre birth) and instructions to test were really clear so I felt prepared to use the machine in birth.
The returns process was SO easy, which I really appreciated while in the newborn daze!!
I rented a TENS machine for my birth, it was great for early and active labour before I had a scalp clip inserted to monitor baby’s heart rate. The service from Mama & Ico was fast and efficient with the easiest return service after use - exactly what you need after giving birth!

The tens is an amazing form of pain relief. It worked really well during my induction while I had period like cramping with the ballon catheter. Highly recommend
Amazing service, the first TENS machine I ordered had a fault and the staff were able to send me a replacement straight away.
I used the TENS machine throughout my labour from early contractions to almost delivery, I had to remove the machine as I got into the water bath to birth our daughter. I didn’t require any other medication and I owe 100% of it to the TENS machine.

The hire process was so easy!! It was delivered fast and return postage was included. The Elle tens plus was simple to use and it worked wonders - it was my only pain relief through 19 hours of labour. The contraction timer and boost mode were game changers. I would highly recommend hiring tens machine from mama and I co, worth every cent!
